What to Know About Wagyu in Dubai

Wagyu means “Japanese cow”, and the name covers several Japanese cattle breeds known for marbling. Those fine streaks of fat soften as the meat cooks, which is why wagyu tastes rich and feels tender.
One detail worth knowing: grades. Japanese wagyu is graded from A1 to A5, where A5 is the top grade for yield and quality, and marbling is scored separately on the Beef Marbling Standard. A menu that lists a grade or a marbling score is telling you how rich the cut will be.

What to Order with Your Wagyu

Start with something fresh, such as sashimi or a salad, so the wagyu stands out. Seasonal vegetables balance the char, and the kitchen will suggest sides to go with it. Want both styles? Wagyu at Lunch or Late at Night

Our kitchen runs its grill and Japanese menus from 10 am to 2 am, so wagyu is not only a dinner order. Share the tataki over a long lunch between shops, or order a steak after a late fountain show. Weeknights are usually quieter, while weekends fill up faster.
